3 v 3 scrummaging
This 3 v 3 scrummaging drill is one of the stable scrum drills all coaches should have. I use it in every session.
3 v 3 scrummaging is an extremely important drill as it works on scrum posture, stability and core strength.
3 v 3 scrummaging is more difficult than full 8 man scrummaging because in a full scrum you have 7 other pack members to rely on. It works every scrum stability muscle there is because you have less people to control you. This exercise actually activates more muscles than you might need in an 8 person scrum while overloading the stability muscles and making them work harder.
Smaller unit drills are excellent for coaching good scrum technique when you are down on numbers.
